Non-Renewable resources of washington state

Stone is one of the many non-renewable resources of the world. It is being taken for construction and the earth has a pretty big supply of it. However if we uses too much of the earths stone we can not get it back and we will run out.It is obtained out of a giant quarry like the one shown above. First it must be mined out of the quarry and collected by trucks. Next the trucks take the stone away and dump it onto a conveyor belt the finalizes the stone. Finally it is put into the manufacturing process and then used for construction. But in order to be allowed to mine stone in that process you must have a license and a company to get the stone with in order to use the quarry.
In the picture shown above there is a non-renewable resource called sand stone. It is sand that it is mushed together so tightly that it becomes a smooth stone. On earth there is a very sufficient supply of sand and sand stone, but one day it will still come to an end. However, this is not how Washington State obtains their precious non-renewable resource sand. The sand needs to be mined out of the sand stone and then used for everyday uses like construction. But you are only aloud to mine this non renewable resource if you follow the federal mine safety and health act which prevents people from recklessly mining sand without obeying the safety standards.
Gravel is another one of Washington States limited natural resources as shown in the picture shown above. Gravel is commonly used for driveways, construction, and pavement. These are also three of the most used things in the entire United States, so if we don't consider any alternative renewable resources for gravel we might find ourselves without any new roads, driveways, houses, parking lots, or buildings. Gravel in Washington State is acquired just like stone, it is mined out of a quarry, collected by trucks, and finalized on a conveyor belt. Also just like mining stone you need a license and a approved company to mine it.
Oil is Washington State's most valuable non-renewable resource because it is used for everything from cars to oil drills themselves. Oil can be sold for substantial amounts of money (up to approximately 87 dollars per barrel). The world is running out of oil fast because of the amount of things it is used for and if we don't find an alternative fuel we will find ourselves losing our jobs and homes because we will not have a car to transport us to our jobs to make money. But here is the catch, the toxic Substance Control Act regulates the amount of chemicals or liquids that harm a persons health or the Earths environment a single corporation can produce. Oil can pollute the environment and it can destroy the environment if it is spilled. Oil is acquired by giant drills as shown above making deep wells, then waiting for a few days for oil to fill the well and then the oil is collected into barrels and prepared to be sold.
Conclusion: |
Stone, sand, gravel, and oil are some of the earths most important natural resources. Without them we could not live everyday life as we do and the human race would have to adapt to overcome the loss of the natural resources by means that could be much costlier to the environment and possibly cost more financially to produce. Although our natural resources are useful and essential we still need to only use only what is needed so that they will last for generation and the generations. Then the human race can have enough for people to be able to survive and live normal everyday lives as we know it.
